It's been about a month and a half since we moved into our new home, and while we are still getting settled, we have been enjoying every minute that we get to spend here. Although our to do list is still quite long, we are taking things a bit slower this season and enjoying our life, our new home, and quality time with family and friends. It seems with each passing year life tends to get busier in the fall, and as soon as the highly anticipated holidays arrive, they are over before you know it.
When Ryan and I were first married, I had every intention of sending out Christmas cards to all of our loved ones with beautiful photos from our wedding. Because it was the busier time of year, and we had our honeymoon and so many pre-planned events, and then the holidays, time slipped away from me and I never got around to it. Fast forward six years, and I still haven't "gotten around" to it. We started to joke that having never sent Christmas cards before, we might as well wait until we have something really exciting to announce before we send any out. Now that we've moved into our new home (and have a new address), we want to share that excitement with our loved ones, so this seems like a good excuse to finally get around to it! Which is why I am so excited to partner with Basic Invite to show you all a peek of our very first Christmas card!
When I sat down to create our cards, I was so pleased to discover how easy and intuitive the Basic Invite site is to navigate and to use, especially as a first time holiday card sender. They have cards and invitations for every occasion ranging from wedding, holiday, baby, and events. I went straight to the Holiday section, selected Christmas Cards, and scrolled through all of the beautiful options. Once I had my selections narrowed down, I created an account and added the different options to my favorites to compare them all and begin customizing.
Basic Invite is one of the few websites that allows customers almost unlimited color options with instant previews online. Once you select a design, you can change the color of each element on the card to suit your style and preference. With over 180 colors to choose from, you can make sure the card is exactly how you want it. They even have foil cards available in gold, silver, and rose gold. Customers can choose flat or raised foil on all of Basic Invite’s foil designs. This is what sets them apart from almost any other online stationery company.
I was excited to find a beautiful Christmas card that I loved and that would serve as our moving announcement. I so appreciate that Basic Invite allows customers to order a printed sample of their actual card or invitation before they place their final order. This way, customers can see the paper quality and how it will feel and print in real life to make sure the card is perfect. Basic Invite even has over 40 different envelope colors to choose from! With so many options, customers can make their envelope match the card or invitation. Plus, all of Basic Invite’s envelopes are peel and seal so the envelopes can be closed quickly and securely. No licking envelopes required!
Once I had the card customized exactly how I wanted, and had my husband's stamp of approval, I proofed it once more and placed my order. Later that evening, I received an email stating customer action was needed on my order. I logged in to my account and had a note in the Proof Center from a Basic Invite Designer who let me know that the text on the back of the card was too close to the bottom, so she had shifted everything up to make sure it would be legible and absolutely perfect. This is attention to detail and customer service that I highly value! After approving the important changes, my order was queued for print and shipped out the very next day.
I'm so happy with how quickly they arrived and how they turned out! If you are considering sending happy holiday cards, merry Christmas cards, or if you need to send out a Christmas Party invitation for work or personal reasons, I highly recommend Basic Invite!
