With the spring season blooming and summer beckoning, I find myself wanting to be outside more and more. *Cue the "I'm outdoorsy as in I like drinking on patios" meme.* In all seriousness, these beautiful spring days are just begging to be spent outside enjoying the fresh air, blue skies, and sunshine. Unfortunately, the majority of my days are spent indoors working in front of a computer at the office. Knowing it's such a beautiful day outside can make focusing on my work an even more difficult task. One of my personal goals for the new year and for my blog is to join the conversation about wellness. According to Merriam-Webster, wellness is defined as, "the quality or state of being in good health especially as an actively sought goal." Common examples are healthy eating, exercise, and rest, but wellness can be manifested in many different forms. One thing I am learning as I get older is that wellness is so much more than diet and exercise. Wellness can (and should) include things like our mental, emotional, and spiritual health, the products we use in our personal care regimen, and our overall physical health, including our eye health.
I am a big fan of the holidays, even the cheesy ones like Valentine's day. I simply love having a reasonable excuse to celebrate and enjoy the little things in life, especially with the ones I love! I am preparing for Galentine's day and Valentine's day one of the best ways I know how--by incorporating all of the red and pink into my wardrobe! That also includes incorporating more classic red shades into my beauty routine, starting with my nails and pout.
