It's official. The summer weather has arrived in Austin and while I'm typically not a big dress girl besides for church on Sundays and special occasions, I can't help but be drawn to easy, breezy dresses when the temperatures are approaching triple digits. I guess that's why they call them sundresses!
When I am dressing for summer weather, all I want is to be cool and comfortable but still feel cute and put together! This peachy little number checks off each of those items from my wish list and is from one of my favorite local boutiques, Lovely Mae Boutique. The lightweight fabric moves and breathes easily and it is prettiest pop of color especially on tanned, glowing skin.
The other great thing about dressing for summer is you can take the same piece and create a totally new look by adding different accessories. I styled this LMB dress with my straw cross body purse and vintage watermelon scarf, Splendid espadrille sandals, and gold palm leaf earrings by local jeweler, Amanda Deer. Simply add a straw fedora, flip flops, and a beach tote for a day at the beach. Add a denim jacket on top for those chilly offices or summer evenings, or cork block heels and a statement envelope clutch for date night.
I'm sure this won't be the last time this dress makes an appearance this summer, and I look forward to making the most of sundress season!
