So technically, this isn't a Mai-tai, but maxi dresses and Passion Fruit Swizzles just didn't sound as good. It did taste just as good
(if not better) though!
A few weekends ago, I wore this adorable blue chevron maxi dress from Loft for a little Sunday funday in the Rock Rose district at the Domain with my gal Amber. We decided to check out the views and the vibes from the rooftop patio and bar at 77 degrees. We loved the swirling staircase, crisp, white decor and tropical atmosphere. All I needed was a refreshing, fruity cocktail to beat the afternoon heat, and to go along with my bright summery dress.
I got this dress as a birthday present from my sweet momma and loved it as soon as I opened it! I loved the colors, especially the touches of navy (which is my favorite color in case you haven't noticed) the cool fabric, and the fun keyhole neckline. Once I tried it on, all of my affections were affirmed for this pretty little dress. The absolutely BEST part of all was that it needed ZERO alterations. Shocking, I know, but shout out to Loft for carrying pretty pieces that fit real women of all shapes and sizes including petites, and to my momma for having such a keen eye for style. Plus, Ryan loved how it looked on me contrasted next to my dark hair. It's the little things, y'all ^_^
Because it was so hot that afternoon, I knotted the bottom of the dress for cooling comfort and a more casual vibe. I topped this dress with my favorite navy accessories including my BP sunglasses, my go to Kendra Scott "Elle" earrings, which came from one of my previous Rocksbox sets, my LC by Lauren Conrad scalloped flats, and my go everywhere reversible tote from Nordstrom. Also in navy. Are we seeing a trend here?
This was such a fun afternoon spent sipping, chatting, and enjoying the sunshine and blue skies!
I hope this brightens up your mid-week slump like it has mine!
