Welcome back, everyone!
With the amazing weather we have had over the last several days here in Austin --sunny and 75--I have felt inspired to spring forward a little early with Pantone's color of the year for 2016! As I'm sure many of you have seen or read, this year's color of the year is not one, but two colors! Rose Quartz and Serenity are two lush, serene colors that remind me of my favorite hill country Texas sunsets. My wardrobe currently consists of mostly jewel tones, not only because they are most flattering on my skin tone, but also because they're some of my favorite colors. I love the idea of using Pantone's color of the year to incorporate a few staple pieces that I wouldn't normally be drawn to.
Here, I've rounded up some of my favorite items for winter and transitioning into spring inspired by these gorgeous colors!
First off, can we talk about how adorable are these scalloped flats from LC by Lauren Conrad?! I have had my eye on these cuties for quite some time, and can't wait to get the neutral blush pair for my everyday spring wardrobe. However, the Serenity inspired pair is almost too cute to pass up!
Next is my all-time favorite tote bag by Street Level in this Serenity/gray inspired combo. This bag is perfect for work, play, traveling, and everything in between! Not to mention, it's reversible, under $50, and fits everything you need inside.
Another great way to add Pantone's color of the year to your wardrobe is with jewelry, and I can always count on Kendra Scott to have gorgeous options! Not only in the color, but the blush items are actually semi-precious Rose Quartz.
Lastly, I love these various tops and outerwear pieces from Nordstrom in these gorgeous shades. It makes it so effortless to play with new colors through classic shapes like blazers, cardigans, wrap blankets, flannel, and scarves. Just in time for that winter to spring transition.
