As a full time Patient Relations Coordinator and part time blogger, I love an outfit that looks effortlessly put together and can easily take me from the office to happy hour or to a blogger event. As soon as I saw this printed pencil skirt from Loft, I knew it would be the perfect versatile piece to add to my wardrobe. I easily saw myself wearing it to the office with a button up shirt, with a cardigan to church, or with a simple tee for date night.
Here, I chose to style it with my go-to chambray button down shirt from Old Navy, favorite scalloped flats from LC by Lauren Conrad, and favorite iced coffee (the Honeynut Latte from Austin Java!) for work.
My office is pretty casual when it comes to "business casual," (like if you wear a dress to work, people might ask what you're doing later. But hey, I'm not complaining!) so I knew adding a casual top and flats would balance out the fact that I was wearing a pencil skirt and still allow me to feel comfortable and put together. The fun geometric print and pastel colors also detract from the dressiness of the skirt while still being office (and happy hour) appropriate.
I love this outfit, and how comfortable I feel in it whenever I wear it. It's like the top says, "Hey, I'm here to Netflix and chill," while the bottom half says, "but also be a total girlboss."
P.S. I never say things like that, but that's how it makes me feel!
P.P.S. and my shoes say, "and we're just here to look cute."
I'm really excited that Loft also has a similar skirt available in fall colors too, since this one is sold out. As always, shout out to Loft for allowing me to find affordable, high quality pieces that are so cute and petite friendly. No alterations required!
I'm not sure what our weekend plans will be, but I'm thinking it might be necessary to wear this skirt again, especially before the temperature really starts to drop!
Thanks for reading, y'all!
Little bitty love,
